These Terms are a contract between you and Expect Fitness, Inc. ("Expect," "we," "us") governing your use of the Expect pelvic floor physical therapy platform and related services (the "Services"). You will be asked to accept them when you enroll. If you do not accept them, do not use the Services.
Before you reach the clinical functions of the Services you will also receive separate materials covering our privacy practices, informed consent to treatment and telehealth, the use of automated technology in this pilot, and the pilot itself. Those materials serve different legal purposes. Accepting these Terms does not replace any consent or acknowledgment obtained separately.
Expect operates an AI-augmented pelvic floor physical therapy platform under a temporary regulatory pilot in Utah. Care is designed, governed and supervised within a clinical program involving Utah-licensed physical therapists.
The current clinical system uses fixed, deterministic rules: responses to validated clinical questionnaires are evaluated against predetermined criteria to generate a care plan and related clinical codes. The same inputs produce the same outputs. The clinical decision system does not send patient information to a large language model or external generative-AI service.
The Services are not appropriate for every condition. We may require additional clinical review, physician or specialist clearance, or referral to other care when your responses indicate the Services are not right for you.
The Services do not provide emergency, urgent or crisis care.
If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis, call or text 988.
Our system automatically scans certain free-text responses for language suggesting self-harm and, on a match, records a flag and shows you crisis resources. That scan does not alert a clinician in real time. Our care team are physical therapists and are not an emergency mental-health service.
You may participate only if you are at least 18 years old, are within the population authorized for the pilot, are physically located in Utah when receiving the Services, and meet our clinical safety criteria. The current authorized pilot population is women aged 18 or older located in Utah.
Some conditions require clearance from a clinician treating that condition before a care plan can be released — including prior pelvic mesh surgery, symptomatic prolapse, suspected or active pelvic cancer, active infection, interstitial cystitis with Hunner lesions, certain neurological conditions, high-risk pregnancy, and being less than six weeks postpartum. Other conditions are outside our scope entirely, and we will refer you to appropriate care.
We re-screen you at Week 4. If your answers change in a way that introduces a new risk, you may be routed out of the program.
You must answer eligibility and safety questions accurately. The safety of your care plan depends on it.
Expect operates under a Regulatory Mitigation Agreement with the Utah Office of Artificial Intelligence Policy ("OAIP"). You should understand that:
If the pilot ends, we will notify enrolled patients promptly, provide a therapist-approved transition plan for anyone mid-treatment, continue therapist oversight for active patients, keep your records available to you throughout the wind-down, and retain clinical records as Utah and federal law require.
Your questionnaire responses are processed using predetermined rules and thresholds. The system generates a proposed care plan, clinical classifications and codes used in the care-plan workflow, risk and safety flags, and routing instructions where additional review or outside care is required.
A Utah-licensed physical therapist individually reviews and approves every care plan before it is delivered to you.
Phase 2 may begin only after prior written authorization from the OAIP. If it is activated:
Every patient receives physical-therapist review at Week 8, and we offer every patient a short telehealth appointment at that point. A therapist may modify, reject or add to any output at any time. If a critical safety metric fails, we revert to individual therapist review of every plan.
You may decline AI-assisted care at any time, without penalty. If you do, the automated pathway stops and we will refer you to an in-person pelvic floor physical therapist in our Utah partner network.
Email about your care. We keep clinical detail out of email bodies and link you to a secure portal instead.
SMS exercise reminders, only if you opt in and provide a phone number. You may reply STOP or turn reminders off in the app at any time. Message and data rates may apply.
Browser notifications, only if you enable them.
Accepting these Terms is not itself the consent mechanism for any communication for which separate consent is legally required.
The clinical platform does not process or store payment-card information. If a fee applies to your enrollment, that fee and any refund or cancellation terms are disclosed in the separate purchase flow used for that transaction.
Withdrawing from the pilot carries no penalty or fee.
We do not use these Terms to disclaim responsibility for the care we provide.
If you have a concern about AI-supported care, tell us through the "Report a Problem" option in the app. We will acknowledge it, begin an expedited clinical review for non-emergency concerns, and provide a no-cost clinical review and, where clinically appropriate, corrective pelvic floor physical therapy follow-up at our expense, provided by an Expect-designated physical therapist — telehealth or in person, as available.
Nothing in these Terms limits any legal remedy available to you if you are physically harmed.

The Services depend on the internet and on third-party providers, and we do not promise that they will always be available or free of errors. This does not change our clinical obligations or our commitments in Section 10.
You can view your care plan and records in your portal and download a complete copy at any time in a portable format.
Because we provide physical therapy care, your record is a medical record. Utah and federal law require us to retain it for a minimum period, so it cannot be deleted on request — the same rule that applies at any clinic. Where a law applicable to you grants a deletion right, we will honor it to the extent it is not limited by retention, safety or regulatory obligations. You can always obtain a copy, and you can always ask us to correct it.
Withdrawing from the pilot stops new data collection but does not require us to destroy records we are required to keep.
The software, clinical logic, exercise library, interface and other proprietary materials are owned by Expect or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Services for your own care while you are enrolled.
Nothing here restricts your ability to obtain, use or share your own health information or care records. You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell or commercially exploit our software or content.
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end access when continued participation is clinically inappropriate, when the Services identify a condition requiring care elsewhere, if you materially violate these Terms, if continued access creates a safety or security risk, or if the pilot ends.
We will tell you why, and provide a referral where clinically appropriate. Ending access does not eliminate record-retention obligations that continue afterward.
These Terms are governed by the law of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute arises, we will resolve it in this order:
Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
We may update these Terms as the Services, the law or our regulatory obligations change. For a material change affecting your care, your privacy or your legal rights, we will provide notice or obtain renewed acknowledgment before it takes effect.
A transition to a later pilot phase requires prior written OAIP authorization, and the relevant patient-facing disclosures are reviewed before that transition occurs.
